High school best friends. Sisters-in-law. Now, business partners.
Our story started long before Old North State & Co. ever had a name.
We met as high school best friends in Texas more than 16 years ago and, years later, that friendship turned into family when we became sisters-in-law. Through military moves, growing families, changing careers and building businesses of our own, we’ve spent years cheering each other on and, more often than not, inspiring each other’s next chapter.
For years, we built our businesses from different places, one alongside the many moves of military life and the other here within the military community in North Carolina.
When another season of change left the future of one of our businesses uncertain, a slightly crazy idea became a real one: why not bring everything together under one roof?
It meant another move, a whole lot of trust and taking a pretty big leap together. But North Carolina became home, and this community welcomed our families and our businesses with open arms.
And from there, Old North State & Co. began.
What started with two businesses became something much bigger. "We originally imagined a storefront that would simply give our two brands a permanent home. But somewhere along the way, the vision grew."
We wanted to create something centered around community, a place that made room for other small businesses, brought people together and gave back to the community that continued to pour into us.
Today, our shelves hold far more stories than just our own, and we couldn’t imagine it any other way.
